Bricks are processed materials. You cannot mine them directly. Gather Squishy Clay first, then have a Pokemon fire it into Bricks.

Where to Find Squishy Clay

Withered Wasteland Caves

Clay blocks fill the caves beneath Withered Wasteland. Complete the “Yawn Up a Storm” request to make it rain. Rain softens the clay blocks into Squishy Clay.

Use Rock Smash to break the softened blocks. The cavern where you rescued Onix has many clay deposits.

Bleak Beach

Reach “Great” Pokedex rank to unlock Bleak Beach. Squishy Clay blocks sit in the open here. No rain is needed. Use Rock Smash to collect them.

How to Process Clay into Bricks

Give Squishy Clay to any Pokemon with the Burn specialty. They will fire it into Bricks for you.

Request Bricks from a Pokemon

  1. Interact with a Burn specialty Pokemon
  2. Select “Look at this”
  3. Show your Squishy Clay
  4. Choose “Make me some Bricks”
  5. Select the quantity

Each Squishy Clay produces 2 Bricks. Return later to collect them.

Burn Specialty Pokemon

Common options include Charmander, Torchic, Torkoal, Magmar, and Growlithe.

On Bleak Beach, build a Chirp-Chirp Meal Habitat to attract Torchic. Place a Plate on the table near the birdhouse by Meowth’s house. Add a berry on top. Torchic will arrive and can process your clay on-site.
